You might be wondering why the second date; why not write about the 1st date instead? Unlike with 1st dates, it is high and most likely getting the aura of one another and doing benchmarks whether the person that you’re dating is compatible with you so to speak. The person suits your ideal-template of a prospective partner.
Second dates are important because both you and your person of interest consensually agreed that you both like one another not just physically, but also each other’s character. It is saying YES to an unwritten social contract investment- that you are willing to invest your time, money and vulnerability for this person.
So you’re finally ready to go out into the world and get to know this person better. You’re hopeful, excited and scared all at the same time. You know your move and now you’re ready, so how do you leave a good solid impression? They say that first impressions last. It is true. It sets the tone of your character, but the 2nd date sets what you can offer in the near future arrangements in the manner of social dynamics everything is a social-stage and you have to brand yourself well as it tricks the mind of the spectators leading or making good and sometimes bad pre-assumptions about you. So play your cards well my friend. Take this article as your guideline on how to bring your A-Game on to the field – based on our positioning of –Where to Go, What to Eat and What to Do.
We’ll apply a little bit of Psychology with these four (4) steps to maximize the impact of your efforts!
Planning leads to a higher probability of things going well as you pictured in your head. Planning does not mean overthinking. It simply means that getting all your valid thoughts and arranging it accordingly in a strategic manner with the timeline. Yes, I included the term timeline. Why? Because timing is everything.
– What time is your engagement?
– Logistics, Transportation
– Consider where will you eat, what time, menu
– Is it a whole day affair?
– What time should the date end
– Choice of cuisine
Planning things thoroughly makes you efficiently go through your whole day as effective as possible. Considering practical variable such as unpredictable Manila traffic conditions, gas consumptions, restaurant reviews.
On a date, the meeting place you choose is one of the first things this new stranger will learn about you; get it awfully wrong and no matter what you say or do during the night; your date’s mind will already be made up. On the other hand, the right choice will win you the 3rd date before you even open your mouth—keep racking up points over the rest of the night and you’re on a fast track to the end zone (whatever that means).
Here are our recommended lists of restaurants that’ll definitely score you some points on your rack. Please keep in mind that AMBIANCE IS KING.

You dined well, you went to an exciting, memorable, and fun activity now you need to wind down and end the day smoothly. Have a good solid conversation over a few good drinks. Cap of the night rightly. Maintain eye contact, ask interesting questions, smile and nod. According to Psychology Today:
“Researchers Kellerman, Lewis, and Laird (1989) set out to explore the effects of mutual eye contact on participants’ feelings of romantic love. In two experiments, participants were randomly paired into opposite-sex couples and given the instructions to either gaze at their partner’s hands, eyes, or count the number of eye blinks for two minutes. After completing that task, participants filled out various questionnaires to assess their feelings about their assigned partner. Results of the questionnaires indicated that couples who participated in mutual eye contact reported stronger feelings than any other group.”

The term ‘speakeasy’ came into the scene back in the 1920s-30s US prohibition for alcoholic drinks. Speakeasy bars are the illicit and secret establishments/bars that sell alcoholic drinks that were illegal at that time.
It had been adopted all over the world and I’m glad that we have a few good ones here in Metro Manila. You are sucked into a time and place filled with darkness, only illuminated by candles, accent lighting, and a dimly lit chandelier smack in the middle. The textured walls and soft leather couches surround the sides. Little trinkets and antiquities adorn the corners. Here are two recommended best places to go to.

They serve good solid drinks that people tend to talk about with their friends. There were no signages but there were clues like Braille signages next to the door.

If you have your reservation and made it in time, you will hear the click and be ushered by the hostess.
